Michigan Department of Career Development and Rehabilitative Services will help qualified recipients with funds for Home Mods, education, and many different resources to help get people back to work. Call 586-498-5852.

Michigan Assistive Technology Loan Fund program provides low-cost financing to persons with disabilities for various technology devices for access, mobility, communication and job opportunities. Call 800-828-2714 or 517-203-1200.

Commission for the Blind will help with education, employment, and rehabilitation. Call 616-356-0180.

Community Development Grant Programs sometimes receive Block Grants to help people who need housing modifications and repairs. Call your local Community Development, Planning, or Housing Office.

Family Independence Agency (Department of Social Services) provides financial assistance for specialized equipment and/or home modifications, through Physical Disability Services. Contact your local Family Independence Agency usually listed in the "State Government" section of your phone book.

Disability Specific Agencies/Organizations such as MS Society, Cerebral Palsy, MDA, etc. have their own funding programs to assist with funding of specialized equipment and/or home mods. Contact your local agencies/organizations.

Veteran's Administration and PVA (Paralyzed Veterans of America) offers funding and resources for service-related disabilities. Contact the VA by calling 800-827-1000 or www.va.gov. Contact the PVA through www.pva.org.

Links for Potty training children with cognitive disabilities have difficulty with subtle cause and effect relationships, this makes potty training difficult.  A behavioral program with plenty of rewards along with a potty alarm to assist the child in being aware of bodily functions is sometimes the answer.  Consult your physician.
